Dr. Zainal Abidin Arsat
A lecturer at Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), teaching Agricultural Engineering. My training is in mechanical engineering, with a PhD in biomechanics. My research applies that engineering background to agriculture. I build practical systems that combine AI, computer vision and IoT and test them in real farms: sensor platforms for monitoring, AI-based fruit sizing and yield estimation, smart animal deterrent systems, and autonomous ground vehicles for farm tasks. UniTani is where these projects live.
